Observation on Advanced Search Behavior in the Knowledge Base While testing the advanced search functionality in our knowledge base, we observed the following results: "Setting" → 922 results "Setting push" → 137 results "Setting push assign" → 79 results "Setting push assign locale" → 461 results From these examples, it appears that: In examples 1 to 3, the search uses "AND" logic, returning results that contain all the specified terms. In example 4, however, the behavior shifts to "OR" logic, likely as a fallback when no exact match is found for all terms. Suggestion: To enhance user clarity, we recommend making this fallback behavior transparent, either by displaying a message, providing a UI hint, or including clear documentation about how and when the search logic changes.

Searching should include not only attached documents but also documents on the drive that are linked in the articles. User case: The company has many already existing documents in PDF that we just want to link in an article, as we do not have time to transform each of the document into an article. User should be able to search also in those documents.

As a CSM, I’m raising this feature request on behalf of one of our customers: We would like to request support for managing synonyms. For instance, in cases like "fansite" vs "fansight," where typo tolerance does not account for semantic or phonetic variations, synonyms would provide a more precise and manageable solution. Enabling this functionality would enhance search accuracy and allow for more granular control. Thank you!

When search finds the keyword(s) in an accordion, the accordion should be open by default when user goes to that article.

The customer prefers the search bar to be displayed inline, similar to its appearance in KB Site 1.0, rather than as a full-screen overlay. Currently, in Site 2.0, the search bar appears as a pop-up at the top of the site. The customer is requesting the previous design from Site 1.0.

Glossary Full texts should be found via search even if the article only mentions the abbreviation. Example: I have glossary entry DM (Direct Message). The user searches for Direct Message, then all articles that only contain DM should be found via the search as well as articles that mention Direct Message.

It would be extremely useful to be able to search using Search Operators. (e.g., OR, AND, "", *, etc.) to make searches more precise. For reference> https://ahrefs.com/blog/google-advanced-search-operators/

Could you make the terms from the Glossary appear in the search results? Often people search for the meaning of abbreviations using the search bar so it would be useful if the term from the Glossary appeared in the search results.

When searching for a term, it should include glossary entries within the search results. In this way, if there is a synonym listed in a glossary term then it should show that term and provide a way for the reader to understand the correct term to use within this knowledge base.
