Feature Request

I have multiple different workspaces including a main workspace (acts as a homepage for all workspaces) which does not have any content. I would like to have the main workspace default to search 'all workspaces' and the others to default to search 'current workspace'. The homepage must search all workspaces to be effective as there is no content, and the other workspaces should only search the current workspace. There is a UX pain point with having to change the filter every search or clicking the wrong article.

My use case is this: I search for a word in the Portal search, and in the resulting list of articles, I want to open each article into a new tab for editing. Currently the search results page goes away and I have to redo the search whenever I click away from the list. This wastes time and risks missing some of the listed articles.

It would be extremely useful to be able to search using Search Operators. (e.g., OR, AND, "", *, etc.) to make searches more precise. For reference> https://ahrefs.com/blog/google-advanced-search-operators/

Would like to see the number of results returned by the search When viewing an article preview, "Go to article" should be a right-clickable link, so I can open the result in a new tab. Filters should include labels. Would like to be able to apply bulk actions to returned results. Perhaps accomplished by merging All Articles with internal search.

Customer is looking for hybrid search for Eddy AI to pick the exact content search results.

The customer prefers the search bar to be displayed inline, similar to its appearance in KB Site 1.0, rather than as a full-screen overlay. Currently, in Site 2.0, the search bar appears as a pop-up at the top of the site. The customer is requesting the previous design from Site 1.0.

As a CSM, I’m raising this feature request on behalf of one of our customers: We would like to request support for managing synonyms. For instance, in cases like "fansite" vs "fansight," where typo tolerance does not account for semantic or phonetic variations, synonyms would provide a more precise and manageable solution. Enabling this functionality would enhance search accuracy and allow for more granular control. Thank you!

This request was created on behalf of Desislava I have to select Articles each time I use the Search bar to look for an article, which is the common case for me. It would be great if the search filter is saved. For example, each time I search, I need to filter by Published or Draft status. It would be great if we have an option to save the filter so next time I can directly select the filter and search for the content. Thank you.

The more I use the search engine, the more frustrated I am with it. It pays no attention to quotes, so when I search for "user site" it returns every article that has the word "user" and the word "site" in it. Some of the results only have one term or the other! That's unacceptable.

The customer prefers to exclude the entire Index category from the documentation search rather than excluding individual articles one by one under that category.
