Widget should not loose the last opened article while navigating between pages in the application where the widget is installed

If the widget is configured in an application. If the user opens Article A in the widget and then navigates between different pages (different URLs) in the application, the widget should keep the Article A opened and it should not change even though there is a URL mapping configured to the new URL where the user lands. Currently, if the URL mapping is configured for a URL, the widget will give precedence to the URL mapping configuration. Kindly check and share your thoughts.

This one is very important to us. Without it, we cannot use the Recommended Articles feature, as those URLs force the user to lose their place in the widget (very annoying and unexpected for users). Recommended Articles is a great feature, and it's a shame we can't use it due to this limitation.

Hi Ramesh - Thank you for sharing your request regarding the widget behavior when navigating between pages. We understand the need for maintaining the state of the article (e.g., Article A) even when the user navigates to different URLs.
We will assess the feasibility of implementing this feature and will add it to our backlog for further consideration. Based on the level of traction and demand from users, we will prioritize this feature accordingly.
We appreciate your feedback and will keep you updated on any progress regarding this request.

Any updates on prioritization? This issue blocks us from using recommended articles, which is unfortunate for our users as this functionality is very helpful.

One use case where this benefits users is when the help content provided to a user has them follow steps that take them across multiple pages of a platform. This functionality ensures that a user doesn't use their place in the help documentation while they're navigating between pages in the platform.
We also use recommended articles on various pages in our platform, but we don't want those to override the widget when an article is currently open.
