Visual distinction between folders, index and pages

I would like to have a visual distinction between folders, index and pages. Meaning, that the user should be intuitively be able to identify which of the three a ">" link is going to be in the documentation. Indexes are clickable like pages, but pages contain additional information. Right now I could not tell if something is a folder, index or page before clicking on it.
Example: On your own documentation, me and my colleagues are under the impression that some users miss the fact that "Categories and subcategories" is a page, thus contains additional information in the form of an article.
Would it be possible to change the UI, so one can tell the difference between the three?

Thanks so much for sharing this thoughtful feedback! We understand how important it is for users to intuitively distinguish between folders, index pages, and regular pages—especially when navigation impacts how information is discovered. It makes sense that clearer visual cues could help prevent users from overlooking content, like in the example you mentioned.
Improving this is definitely a worthwhile idea. While we’re not planning immediate changes in this area, we’ll keep an eye on traction and consider UI refinements based on broader interest. In the meantime, your examples are very helpful for understanding where the current experience can be confusing, so please feel free to keep sharing any additional insights you come across.
