We are regularly combining 1 product name tag with 1-5 material number tags and 1-3 error code tags, and often also add 1 document type tag. Excluding certain material numbers, error codes or doctypes with 'NOT' makes the most sense in this case to minimize false positives.

Likewise, articles relating to a specific combination of error codes or material numbers would be more useful with 'AND'.

The logic mainly needs to apply to tags for now, categories are filtered differently anyway.

Booleans would be more useful for admins/authors/reviewers, but I can see Readers benefitting from it in the advanced search. However, our key user panels have shown that far more readers are using the AI search than the Advanced search.

-How are you currently using Tags in Advanced Search, and approximately how many tags do you typically select at once?

-Could you share an example where AND logic would help you narrow down the results?

-Would you also need NOT logic to exclude specific tags from the results?

-Should the AND/OR/NOT logic apply only to Tags, or would you expect the same behavior across other Advanced Search filters as well?

-Is this requirement primarily for content authors/admins or for readers using Advanced Search?

This will help us better understand the use case and evaluate the expected filtering experience.

If Boolean operators are added, NOT should be missing in addition to AND and OR*. In web search engines, I very often have to exclude incorrect search results with NOT (or minus sign before the search term) in order to get the result.
