If users click the dislike button by mistake, clicking it again should undo the action.

In addition, per various comments in this thread: The ability to dislike w/o a reason prevents the opportunity for users to provide constructive criticism and feedback. Thanks.

The Like/Dislike function is not really helpful as it is right now. If users click on Dislike for example and do not enter a comment or specifiy their feedback, it is impossible to know why they found the article not to be helpful. I guess that the Dislikes may rather be misclicks and the users are not aware that the feedback is sent immediately. An intermediate step where they have to confirm the feedback would be helpful.

This is a very important feature that would help to improve the documentation but without submitting a reason/feedback for an article dislike, there is no use of this feature. Kindly modify the behavior so we could use it to our advantage.

Dislike is not useful, if we do not see the reason

Quaint Leopard (and others): Totally agreed. The ability to dislike w/o a reason prevents the opportunity for users to provide constructive criticism and feedback. Thanks.

I agree! We do not even have commenting allowed, but it would be brilliant if there was an option to show a comment field when a reader clicks LIKE or DISLIKE. As in, the comment field only appears when LIKE or DISLIKE is clicked.

Lapis lazuli Barnacle according to me the comment should be mandatory if the user is disliking an article and they should not be able to dislike without the comment.
