Tabs for multiple programming languages in codeblocks

It would be nice to be able to provide multiple languages in a codeblock and have them appear on separate tabs. For example, one codeblock has a tab for Python, a tab for Go, and a tab for Java that all show the same example. Users can click on the tab to show the example that they're interested in.

+1 on this. It is a must have for technical documentation with multiple languages.
In addition, we need to have the option to customize tab names (independent of the language), which is very useful for various configuration examples. Here's an example from Readme:

It'll be great if we can also add a way to persist the programming language that the user selects. For example, if in the first code sample, the user selects C#, the other code blocks will show C3 code by default. Here's a good example:https://developers.google.com/interactive-media-ads/docs/sdks/ios/client-side#objective-c_2

+1 on this as well! It's been under review since beginning of this year.

It would also be great if it has a feature that allows the user's selection to persist across the article. For example, if a user selects Swift in the first code block, the subsequent code blocks will automatically show the Swift tab.

+1 to this request! Tabs in general are essential for our articles, and are a standard practice for code blocks as well. It would be great to have this feature implemented soon!

Any update on this? Currently I've had to use very complicated HTML code to implement this and having to make updates is a nightmare. This is quite an essential feature.

Tabs for code for different programming languages or layouts is absolutely essential! a real deal breaker.

+1 to this request! Even the developers in my organization are asking for this, because they see the value of it. Attaching an example of how Google does it here: https://cloud.google.com/dataflow/docs/samples/dataflow-v1beta3-generated-JobsV1Beta3-CreateJob-sync#dataflow_v1beta3_generated_JobsV1Beta3_CreateJob_sync-csharp
