Support Reader-Specific Content Access for KB Widget
backlog
Akash Sivaraman
Requesting the ability to control and customize content visibility within the Knowledge Base (KB) widget based on individual reader permissions or roles.
To enhance content security and deliver a more personalized user experience, it would be highly beneficial for the KB widget to support reader-specific access control. This feature would allow administrators to define which articles or sections of the Knowledge Base are visible to specific users or user groups.

Hi Mohamed Shakheen, I have created this feature request on behalf of Abby Dong.
The requirement is that they would like to have content visibility access based on the Document360 reader groups similar to how we are achieving it through the JWT.
Abby, Feel free to add your suggestions as well!

Akash Sivaraman: Thank you for the clarification. Enabling content visibility rules based on Document360 Reader Groups - similar to the current JWT-based access control - is not part of our existing roadmap. That said, we recognize the strategic value of this capability and will monitor customer demand closely. We will prioritize this enhancement based on traction and alignment with broader product objectives.

Hi Akash
Thanks for raising this. Reader-specific visibility inside the KB widget aligns with secure access principles and tailored content delivery.
With JWT support enabled for the widget, this requirement should be sufficiently addressed - JWT allows the widget to dynamically respect reader permissions and surface only the authorized content for each user context.
Please review whether this meets your expectation, and share your thoughts.
