Show Drive folder status on KB folder

There should be status icons for KB folders to show at a glance if a) no Drive folder is set, b) a Drive folder is set (and indicate which one), and c) error status, for example because the Drive folder was removed. Ideally, I could query with the click of a button what the Drive folder status is for all my KB folders (in a list) with the ability to bulk-edit Drive folder assignment.

Hi Kavya, thanks for your reply! I would imagine something like an internal systems check to make sure that the user has made a Drive folder selection. The status should feature somewhere prominently so as to alert the user, especially if the Drive folder may be incorrectly set, the folder removed etc. We found that setting the correct Drive folder is really important for screenshot management, but we had no idea until we had already thousands of screenshots incorrectly stored in the default folder. Perhaps this could be part of a broader "KB health check" with alerts to the user if they missed making important settings. Or perhaps you could implement an onboarding checklist that helps users make important settings that they may not be aware of. This also includes things like workflow, workspace, default language for snippets/glossary entries, etc. We tripped over all of those :( Thanks! Claus

Hi Claus Schittenhelm,
Thanks for sharing this—having clear status indicators for Drive folder assignments sounds like it could really improve visibility and prevent setup issues. Before we explore this further, it would help to understand your workflow a bit better:
-When managing Drive folders, what’s the main challenge you’re trying to solve—quick troubleshooting, faster setup, or ongoing maintenance?
-How would you expect the status icons to behave? For example, should they show the folder name on hover, or be visible inline at all times?
-For the “query all statuses” view, would you want a simple list, or something more detailed (e.g., nested structure, filters, search)?
-How often do you need to bulk-edit Drive folder assignments? Is this mostly for initial setup or ongoing updates?
Your input will help us understand how to shape this in a way that fits your workflow.
