Set publish date explicitly

In some cases, it would be useful to explicitly set or adjust the published date of an article. For example, you might work on a feature update over several months and create or publish related articles well before the official launch. In such scenarios, being able to override the visible published date on the site would help avoid confusing customers.

Thank you for the feedback.
As a potential workaround, you can use Scheduled Publishing to ensure articles become publicly visible only on the official launch date. This helps align the article's published date with the feature release date when the content does not need to be accessible beforehand.
That said, we understand your use case is slightly different. In scenarios where content needs to be created, reviewed, or even published ahead of launch, the ability to manually override the displayed published date would provide greater flexibility and help avoid customer confusion.
We will continue to evaluate this enhancement based on customer demand, usage patterns, and overall traction. If we see broader adoption and demand for this use case, we will consider prioritizing it in our roadmap.
