Need a status to distinguish between never-published draft and published articles with a draft

In All Articles,
Published Article
is not accurate: it only counts articles that are published with no existing draft. I don't consider an article that someone forked and is working on a new version of to not be published. I need to be able to easily get a count of all articles that are published (visible to a reader, logged in and not) and of articles that are pure drafts (have never been published). The Draft
category in All Articles is also not accurate for the same reason: It includes published articles that have a forked draft.Log In

Hi Yinmn blue Lark
Thank you for bringing this to our attention and for clearly outlining the scenario.
We understand your concern regarding how article statuses are currently represented in the All Articles view. Specifically, articles that are published and have an associated draft version are currently categorized in a way that may not accurately reflect their visibility to readers, making it difficult to distinguish between truly unpublished content and published content undergoing revisions.
We will analyze this use case further to better understand the expected behavior and assess whether improvements can be made to the article status definitions, counts, and filtering options. Your feedback provides valuable context on how content teams track published versus draft content, and we will take this into consideration during our evaluation.
Thank you for sharing this detailed feedback.
