Manually create restorable article snapshots

I have no manual control over the versioning system. If I want to save a restorable version before continuing with edits, I have to publish an article and then click "Edit". Based on the new "Recall" feature in Windows, I had the idea of a feature for manually saving article snapshots that can later be restored, but that aren't published. It's happened repeatedly that I made major changes to an article, but because we are still at the beginning and don't know what works and what doesn't for readers, I cannot be sure if the previous version wasn't the better one. In that case, before I begin edits, I imagine a "Create snapshot" button that allows me to manually save the article in its current state in case I want to restore it later.

Hi Mukesh! Let me explain. As I understand, Document360 creates a new version when I click Edit on a published article. I find this too limited and would like to have some manual control over creating new versions. For example, if I make major changes to an article that's NOT published (basically, I keep editing the article in Draft state), I'd want to manually create a new version so that I know I can go back to the exact state of the article before I started the major changes. The only way to do this with the current behavior is to mock-publish the article and then moving it back to Draft state. Does that make sense? Thanks! Claus

Hi Claus, thanks for bringing this up to us. However, I feel that it's not very clear and rather is confusing on what is your expectations in the versioning. If possible, please attach some video/screenshots explaining the workflow you are envisioning. Thanks again.
