Inline Comments after publishing the article.

We are raising this feature request on behalf of the customer (Michelle Vankolck). Currently, once an article is published, the comments are automatically resolved. However, the customer would like to have the comments remain unresolved even after the article is published.

Dear Doc360 Community and Dear Doc360 Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I'm writing to request an enhancement to the in-line comment feature within Doc360. While the feature is undoubtedly valuable, there are certain limitations that hinder its effectiveness, particularly in collaborative editing scenarios.
Currently, the in-line comment feature does not retain comments once an editing session is concluded. This limitation renders the feature somewhat ineffective, as it negates the ability to preserve comments for future reference or review.
Moreover, the inability to publish articles with retained in-line comments diminishes the utility of the feature. It becomes challenging to utilize in-line comments for marking up articles if the comments are automatically deleted upon publication. This constraint restricts our ability to collaborate effectively, as resolving mark-ups within a single editing session isn't always feasible, especially when working with multiple editors or under time constraints.
Additionally, the lack of context in emailed comments further exacerbates the issue. Without reference to the article or highlighted text, emailed comments become disjointed and difficult to interpret, impeding efficient collaboration.
Given that we frequently collaborate with multiple editors, it's imperative that the in-line comment feature be conducive to collaborative workflows. Furthermore, it's essential that any enhancements to the tool, such as the inclusion of in-line comments in Reader's Portal, maintain the integrity of the collaborative process.
I appreciate the ongoing efforts of the Doc360 team to improve the product, and I'm confident that addressing these concerns will further enhance the usability and effectiveness of Doc360 for all users.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Kind regards,
Michelle
