Inline Comment (Block Editor)

We understand Inline comment facility is available only for the below case:
- In the block editor and
- Read Only option must be disabled in the workflow stage.
As per standard process, in the Review stage we mandatorily needs the inline comments facility to highlight the content for mentioning the specific details.
But the real documentation restriction issue starts here.
For enabling the inline comment we need to disable the read only mode and now reviewers can mistakenly or intentionally edit the documentation. Reviewers don't have right to edit the documentation.
Could you please enable inline comment facility for all the roles, even if the read only mode is enabled.
Apart from contributor all the stages required to provide comment For Example:
Grammar Review: Reviewers can only highlight and comment the required grammar and spelling correction needed to be completed.
Technical Review: Reviewers can only highlight and comment the required UI, GIF, Videos, Files, and content correction needed to be completed.
In short: Apart from contributor no one should have rights to edit the page, but they can provide inline comments.
This is the standard process all the documentation teams are following in all organization.

Provide option to add inline comment when the workflow status is set to read-only

Advanced WYSIWYG editor enhancement:
This request was added on behalf of Bob Dzimbowski
Currently, we provide an option to add inline comments in the advanced WYSIWYG editor. It would be great if we could have the option to add an inline comment if the workflow status of an article is set to read-only. As of now, it is not possible to add the inline comment if any "read-only" workflow status is set to the article.

Hi atul, thanks for the detailed feedback. As of the current implementation, the user cannot modify any content when the workflow is configured as read-only. Once the workflow is configured as read-only, the system won't allow you to make any changes to the article. As of now it's a limitation from our end, we will analyze your use case and keep you posted on the same. Your patience is appreciated. Thanks for your valuable time.
If you have any feedback or suggestions feel free to reach out to us.
