Increase Tag Character Limit

It's a shame we're so limited by character counts across the board. Same goes for comments, labels etc.
Please could you massive increase the character count across the board (metadata, comments etc.)

If the developers consider doing this at all, what would be a suitable increased value?
For tags the current limit is 30 characters. My vote would be to increase this to (something like) 64 characters.
I don't have a view on labels, comments etc... yet.
