Improved Link Handling
Kathryn Gallagher
Redirecting and fixing broken links requires significant manual effort. For example, when the slug changes, all internal references should auto-update, so redirects aren't shown as broken.

Hi Kathryn ,
Thank you for sharing this feedback — I’d like to validate the scenario with you to understand it better.
From what you’ve described, it sounds like the issue occurs when an article’s slug (URL) changes, and the internal cross-references pointing to that article don’t automatically update, which causes broken or redirected links across your documentation.
Could you please confirm the following so we can assess this accurately:
Does this happen only when slugs are manually updated, or also when an article is moved to a different category?
Are the affected links primarily within articles, or also in snippets, variables, or glossary terms?
Do you currently use the broken link report or redirect manager to handle these updates manually?
Approximately how many internal links are impacted when this occurs ?
Your input will help us clearly define the scope of the issue and evaluate potential solutions to simplify this process.
Thanks for bringing this up — I really appreciate you taking the time to share this detailed feedback.
