Hyphenated words MUST be supported in Find

Matthew West
The Find and Replace tool currently returns no results for hyphenated words. This basically makes the tool useless when needing to globally find and replace words with hyphens in them.

Thiru: I'm glad to see it working in the Mark Down editor as well. I have a lot of hyphenated terms to manage. Thanks!

it also doesn't seem to find words delimited with markdown syntax such as
thisWord
or _thisWord_ or thisWord
, etc. It's very critical that these be findable.Thiru
Shannon Greywalker: syntax elements in MD editor is not supported in the search, because the crucial event can be searching phrases from the content and then make relevant changes and publish without any hassle. With respect to syntax, feature do not support like Code Editor to locate. Thanks for your time and feedback.

Thiru: You say "because the crucial even can be searching phrases from the content and then make relevant changes and publish without any hassle."
YES. Exactly that!
I need the MD editor to find the crucial phrases
despite
whether they are surrounded by syntax symbols like ` or _ or *. Right now, it does not. If I search for a term like editor-in-chief, it will NOT find the term if it has been bolded with
editor-in-chief
, nor will it find the term if it has been italicized with editor-in-chief
or _editor-in-chief_, nor will it find the term if it's been used as inline code such as editor-in-chief
.
