In advanced search, when we want to filter by a specific category, d360 displays all categories selected by default. This does not provide a good user experience because the user has to manually deselect each category they don’t want one by one. Ideally, there should either be an option to “clear selection” or none of the categories should be selected.

Furthermore, when a macro-category is selected, all subcategories should also be selected. We’ve already received some complaints because users assume that the entire tree within the macro-category is selected when they perform searches. As a result, the desired results aren’t displayed because the advanced search doesn’t filter effectively.
