Filter in bulk operations should 'select all' or 'deselect all' sub content

When you select or deselect a top level category in the filter (in my case I was trying to view all drafts in a specific sub-category) it should automatically include or exclude all subcategories below to parent selected (or deselected).
I don't understand the purpose of even giving a check box on top level if it doesn't automatically include child related content.

I extend this suggestion to selecting categories when granting permissions to reader groups. We have just added a massive new category to our KB with 12 subcategories and it would be great to have a SELECT ALL button to include all categories. While retaining the existing functionality of doing it 1-at-a time.
See screenshot below with a hypothetical SELECT ALL button to save the trouble of checking all these checkboxes.
Thank you.

Please see my comment in https://feedback.document360.com/feature-request/p/documentation-scope-select-all-sub-categories
This applies directly to this request

My recommendation would be to use the fact of whether or not something is expanded to either select of deselect all of the items below it. Thus, if a category isn't expanded and isn't currently selected then by selecting it you would also select all of the categories under it. If it were already expanded so that I can see the categories under it then it should not select these categories.
The same would occur if deselecting. In this way, if I wanted to select all of the child categories under a specific category I could easily hide all of the categories under the parent, select the parent which would then select all the children to the bottom of the tree, followed by expanding the parent and deselecting it (which would then not alter any of the selection of the children)

This is even more important now that in the "modern" UI there is no longer a select all feature within that portion of the tool (now under Documentation -> All articles)
My current requirement would have me click somewhere close to 400 times in order to select the set that I want.

In the Bulk Operations, the Category filter has the same issue. If you select a category, it does not automatically select all its child categories.

Also it would be good to autmatically update the scope in the reader and editor groups too

All, this feature is linked to the selection of the content access for the reader group, not for bulk operations. Today, if you select a parent category, you need also to select all the child categories. It would be nice to have this action automated.

It already works like this when you select documents to be bulk pdf printed. Thus you can just copy this functionality to the Reader's and Reader Group's Document Scope as well. It will help us a lot!
