"Exclude from documentation search" for replicated articles
complete
Krishna M
I've a list of articles that have been replicated across various categories. When users search for these articles, they appear multiple times. I would like to avoid having these articles displayed multiple times when users search for them.
I've noticed that there's an option to "exclude from documentation search" in all articles except for the replicated ones, where the relevant settings are disabled. If this exclude option were available for the replicated articles, I could ensure they don't appear multiple times in the search results. I've attached the screenshot for your reference.

Shakeer Hussain S Are there any instructions you can share? I also still see the replicated articles showing twice in my search results.

Hi everyone,
It's not just users searching. It's also an issue when trying to add a hyperlink to another article.
The article you want to link to appears twice (with different slugs and categories) but unless you're really vigilant and know how to interpret the breadcrumbs, etc. in the search results, it's too easy to click the replicated article instead of the original article.
Thank you.

Replicated Articles Should Not Show Up Twice in Search

If I have an article that I want replicated in another category, it shows up twice in the search result, and I cannot exclude one of them from the result. Ideally, I want the article replicated and appear under both categories but with the same slug or be able to exclude one of them from the search results. I understand the general option may be to clone the article, but if I make changes, I need to remember to update the clone.

Please work on this as a feature. It would help our customers so much!

Please do implement this option! This is the only thing preventing us from replicating content, but there are so many use cases for it!
While I understand that it might be useful to see the different locations of that content in a search, it's also confusing -- which one should a user select? It also clogs things up when there might be relevant results, now we're adding duplicates for what's really one article.
It's a GREAT feature, Doc360 Team, that can be a huge differentiator! But let's please make it something that we can use!
