Disable the new editor pop-up message
complete
Herman Leung
Could you temporarily disable or stop the pop-up message that advertises the new editor (see attached screenshot) from popping up every time an article is created or opened? At least until most of the reported issues are fixed?
The new editor breaks our current publishing style so we cannot use it yet. And while we have informed our SMEs/authors to not use the new editor, we have too many authors in our company and many people will still click any button just to close pop-up messages, and often end up creating drafts in the new editor anyway.
Because the content disappears when changing an article written in the new editor to the old editor, it's a nightmare to manually copy/paste
and
convert the new HTML to the old HTML, especially when the article is longer or has HTML elements that are coded differently between the old and new editors. Thanks!

Hi everyone, We've implemented the pop-up banner that will only appear once every 24 hours after it's been closed. This adjustment ensures a smoother browsing experience without repetitive interruptions for our users.
Thanks for your patience and cooperation. If you have any concerns, kindly don't hesitate to reach out.

Can you consider disabling the pop-up at least for the life of an article, instead of just 24 hours?
If an article has already been created, and we decided to use the old editor, we are highly unlikely to want to switch to the new editor suddenly.
Some of our SMEs/authors/reviewers are still accidentally switching to the new editor due to the pop-up appearing too often, and this is causing us headaches in terms of having to manually salvage new content added in the new editor and transforming it to put back into the old editor. An article sometimes goes through multiple reviewers so the chance of this happening increases. It is causing a lot of wasted time and confusion within our company.

Please disable this until the new editor is ready and all issues have been resolved. If you turn this off it just pops back up again upon enabling Edit on the next article or publishing an article or starting a new one, or creating a fork.
It shouldn't be that intrusive.

Hi Herman Leung, Stephen Kairys, thanks for reaching out. We understand your feedback on disabling the banner information in the WYSIWYG editor. At the moment, we are working on improving the stability of the editor. We aim to ensure that our advanced WYSIWYG editor becomes stable as soon as possible.
As of now, once you close the pop-up, it won't appear on the edit page for the next 24 hours. We are looking into the possibility of extending this timing to avoid any hindrance in your editing process. We will keep you updated on any developments in this regard.
Your understanding and patience are appreciated.

Prabhakaran Parasuraman Today, I saw the pop-up multiple times. And the other day, a teammate accidentally clicked to switch to new editor, which may have messed up the formatting in an article.
Please reduce to once per day or eliminate.
If it can't be eliminated, how about popping up a confirmation window for conversion to new editor that defaults to NO?

Stephen Kairys: We apologize for your inconvenience. We will try to increase the timing of the pop-up banner. We will surely resolve this in our forthcoming release. Your understanding and patience are appreciated. Thanks for your valuable time.
Stephen Kairys
Prabhakaran Parasuraman Increasing the timing would be somewhat better. Having the option to remove this prompt completely for selected accounts would be even better. ;)

Stephen Kairys: Thanks for your response. We will investigate this scenario and get back to you with updates.

Herman Leung= +100. I totally agree. And it's disconcerting that reverting to the old editor is not backwards compatible.
