The customer reported a delay in custom font rendering on the live site, where a fallback/default font is displayed before the configured custom font loads. This issue occurs consistently in private projects using Drive-hosted fonts, as they are not cached and reload on every visit.

We understand the concern around custom font loading performance, where users briefly see a fallback font before the configured custom font is rendered. We also understand that this is more noticeable in private projects using Drive-hosted fonts, where the font files are reloaded frequently.
This request is currently under review. We'll evaluate opportunities to improve font loading behavior, including caching strategies, preload mechanisms, and other optimizations that could help reduce rendering delays and improve the overall visual experience.
We'll share updates once we have more clarity from our assessment.
