Comments workflow
backlog
Yoni Hubermann
The way the inline comments work today does not allows us to work through article edits easily.
We need to be able to - 1. write comments for published articles withouth the need to set it to EDIT.
- we don't like that comments are deleted upon publishing.
- When replying to comments or using emoticons, the comment creator does not get notified. and we need them to be.
- Anyone should be able to resolve comments, and not only the comment creator.

I don't really understand the logic of not being able to resolve comments unless you are the person who created them. Would also appreciate if they were preserved after publish. They don't need to be in the same version, even, just accessible in that previous version if I check the revision history.

We also do not like that comments are deleted upon publishing.

Hi Yoni, thanks for your feedback. We are aware of the use cases you've mentioned. We will include this in our future roadmap and keep you posted on the updates.
Your understanding and patience are appreciated.

I suggest to take a look at the way comments work on Google Docs and adjust accordingly if possible.
