When I need to continue editing an article, it seems obvious to click Edit, but that button only re-forks the article from the published version. Instead, I have to go to Revision history and open the existing fork from there. This results in a confusing and useless pile of forks.
I propose the following UI changes:
  • In the kb site, change the Edit article label to Open in portal
  • In the portal, change the Edit button to Create new version
  • in the portal, add a button Edit latest version
