Chrome Extension Security
backlog
Jarren Keck
Our Knowledge Base, like many, has security groups that allow for access to certain categories and no access for other categories on the KB website. However, those security permissions are not applied to the Chrome Extension that we have deployed company-wide. The same permissions that are set for end-user access on the website need to apply to the Chrome Extension as well.

Jarren Keck thanks for your suggestion and would like to validate for extensions the User ACL has to be applied which is not available at the moment?
Jarren Keck
Thiru: Yes, it would be a good enhancement to have security privileges that are applied on reader accounts to be extended to the Google Chrome Extension. Last time I checked, If I have a reader placed in a security group of limited categories, they still see all categories in the Chrome Extension.

Jarren Keck Can verify that our private knowledge base categories/sub-categories are being viewed as if they are public in the Chrome extension.
I concur that access controls for readers applied in a private knowledge base should also apply to the Chrome extension.
