Basic formatting (e.g., Bold, Italics) not visible
on-hold
Stephen Kairys
Hi,
On the old editor, basic formatting commands such as Bold, Italics, etc., are always available. However, in new editor, I have to click the "T" icon on the vertical ribbon to access these options.
While it's cool to have so many options in one place, it's annoying to have to click the icon to bring up the basic options. Numerous applications (Word, Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets, the old editor, other CMS) have these functions on top of the screen.
Please see attached. Thanks!

Hi Stephen, thanks for writing to us. We have introduced a new function in our past release called "Pin to keep visible" on the right-hand side near the publish function. Hope this will allow you to use the format and insert functions available all the time until you close the menu in your right hand side.
In the text selection, a floating menu will be displayed along with all the basic functions as you've mentioned.
Additionally, the advanced WYSIWYG editor has provided shortcut keys for formatting functions like Bold (ctrl+b), Italic (ctrl+i), underline (ctrl+u), etc., To know more shortcut keys, please click on the link - https://docs.document360.com/help/docs/advanced-wysiwyg-editor-basics
If you've any suggestions or feedback, feel free to reach out to us. Thanks for your valuable time.

Update:
When I tried highlighting some text, a bunch of formatting options popped up. This workflow could be useful, but I'll reserve judgment until I can experiment further in the New Year. Thanks.
