Article Titles Should Wrap, Not Hide Past Scroll Bar

I was viewing a KB made using a different KB platform and noticed they supported text wrapping for article titles in the left navigation panel. This should be the same with Doc360—I can't think of a good reason in favor of hiding parts of article titles that run long.
For the attached screenshots, the screenshot with the green arrows is from another KB (not sure which), and the screenshot with the red arrows is from Doc360.
Thanks for your consideration! :)

Hi Michael Andrea Veriff @Sowparni Mukunda Nibu
Thank you for your feedback regarding article titles being cut off in the left navigation panel.
I’m happy to let you know that this improvement has been shipped as part of the September 11.9.1 release.
With this update, article and category titles will now display in full (up to two lines) within the category tree. If a title exceeds two lines, it will gracefully truncate with an ellipsis (…) to preserve layout consistency.
Please note that this enhancement is available for customers using the KB Site 2.0 experience.
Could you please check this in your project and let us know if it aligns with your expectation?
Your feedback will help us ensure the experience works seamlessly across all use cases.

Shakeer Hussain S we are yet to move to the 2.0. A couple of blockers that need to be addressed.
Michael Wood
Shakeer Hussain S I am still not seeing this behavior in our site. If this was released in August, I would expect that it would be displaying by now.
As you can see in the screenshot, several articles are still ending with an ellipsis without rolling over to a second line.

Michael Wood: Please take a look at the screenshot below.
This setting is available under Customize KB Site → Documentation section.
By default, the option is turned off — you can enable it to allow article and category titles in the category tree to wrap to a second line.

Nibu Thomas: Got it, Thanks for the update.
We will list out the current blockers preventing the 2.0 migration — I’ll help connect with the right teams to get those addressed and unblock the move.

Shakeer Hussain S this is now fixed in 2.0. Our CSM showed it to us yesterday.

Need Text Wrapping in Categories Section
Andrea Hilton
If article or category names are too long they are being cut-off in the default view. This makes it hard to find material and users have to manually pull out the category section, which is not user friendly. Text wrapping would solve this problem.

Left navigation bar: option to manually resize it
Veriff TW
Currently, the left nav-bar can be either open or closed. Some users have reported that when they are working on a smaller screen (e.g. a laptop), they'd still like to see the nav-bar, but make it narrower, to have more space for the article on their screen.

Left-side pane width to be movable

Sowparni Mukunda
In the site view, the Left pane which displays the categories and articles can only be closed. There is no option to move and adjust the width of the left pane.
Being able to view and adjust the width of the left pane will be more user friendly when viewing lengthy article titles.

+1 for this. The title wrapped in 1.0. 2.0 should have just followed suit

Sowparni Mukunda,
Thank you for your valuable feedback!
The long article titles can be harder to view with the current fixed-width left pane. As a usability aid, we currently show the full article title on hover via a tooltip.
In addition, we’re actively working on an enhancement where lengthy article titles will be displayed in two lines within the left pane itself. This will improve readability and navigation without requiring users to resize the pane.
We appreciate your input, and we’ll keep you posted once this update is rolled out!

Mohamed Shakheen Thank you this is great news!! It is currently a very poor user experience, as we can't see many article or category titles without zooming out to a very small print. Please keep us posted!

Hi Andrea
Thank you for your feedback regarding long article and category names being cut off in the default view.
We understand the concern around discoverability and navigation when titles are truncated. Currently, our approach uses truncated text with ellipsis, and the full name is displayed on hover. This helps maintain a consistent and clean layout across varying article and category name lengths.
We’ll continue to monitor user feedback on this behavior. If we see broader traction around the need for improved handling of longer titles, we’ll explore alternative design solutions that balance both clarity and consistency.

Hi Andrea, are you seeing this as a challenge in the Portal or KB Site Category navigation section or in both? If this is in KB Site, we can provide a KB Site configuration option to either wrap the title by default or not.
Andrea Hilton
Premkumar Nandagopal - it is noted as non-wrapping in both but at least I can adjust the width in KB so it is not as bad, the problem is the customer facing site. It would be good to wrap text, or allow customers to expand the width - the hover option is a good interim however.

There is another request to provide an option to resize the width of the left navigation bar, allowing customers to view the full article name in the category manager section- Upvoted the request on behalf of Youlim Lee
