Our team would like to have the ability to hide articles in the left-hand TOC and still allow readers to access them. Showing every single article that is in our help center can be overwhelming for them at times.

Hi Managing Kiwi, Thanks for sharing the feedback.
We have introduced the expand and collapse functionality for the category tree in the TOC as part of the KB Site 2.0 version. Please refer to the attached screenshot.
