Ability to search tables within an article

It would be awesome to provide the ability to search tables within an article, separate from the KB search.
This is great when using tables to host last databases of definitions and glossary terms.

Hi Gerard - To ensure I understand your request correctly, are you asking for a feature that allows users to search specifically within tables embedded in an article, separate from the general Knowledge Base (KB) search?
Example Use Case:
Imagine you have an article with a table listing hundreds of glossary terms and their definitions. Instead of searching through the entire article or the whole Knowledge Base, users could directly search within this table to quickly find the specific term and definition they need. This targeted search capability would save time and improve efficiency.
Is this what you had in mind?

Shakeer Hussain S - thank you, exactly the use case I am thinking. Tableu has this feature when running reports, allowing us to find results/content within tables presented which makes it easier to search larger tables

Gerard: Hi Gerard,
Thank you for confirming the use case. I completely understand how beneficial it would be to have a targeted search capability specifically for tables embedded within articles. This feature would indeed be very helpful for scenarios like searching large tables containing glossary terms, definitions, or database-like content.
We appreciate you highlighting Tableau’s approach as an example. Implementing a similar feature in our platform could greatly enhance user efficiency by allowing them to locate specific rows or data within a table without scanning the entire article or Knowledge Base.
I’ll bring this feedback to our product team and evaluate the feasibility of adding this functionality. In the meantime, if you have any additional thoughts or specific requirements for this feature, feel free to share them with us. This will help us better align the solution with your needs.
Thank you for sharing such a valuable idea, and I’ll keep you updated on the progress!
