Ability to be notified about all comments

Currently, we have to mention a user for them to receive notification about a comment. Can we not have notifications sent out by default? Perhaps a toggle that can be set at account level.

Hi Everyone, I would like to understand the use case of this feedback. Currently, you need to mention the user to trigger an email from the system.
I understand that the email needs to be triggered for the contributors of the article without mentioning them in the comment. If you would like to include any input, kindly let us know.
However, providing the account level settings to enable or disable is not in our plan. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.

Prabhakaran Parasuraman, please look at Google docs. You send a document for review. And then after the first mention ( a notification is sent out), every response has a notification. That's not the case with D360. I have to explicitly mention them EVERY time for them to get a notification. The comment is obviously a response to the first comment. My question is - why do I have to mention the author every time? It's in both our interests (author and reviewer) to get notified about comments - with or without a mention.

Nibu Thomas: Thank you for your response. We understand that the expectation is for comments in the advanced WYSIWYG editor to receive notifications for replies from other contributors, rather than for the discussion of the Markdown and WYSIWYG editor.
Rest assured, we plan to incorporate this feature in the future, ensuring that you can receive notifications via email. We will keep you updated on any progress made.
Please let us know if you have any further queries or concerns. Thanks for your valuable time!

Prabhakaran Parasuraman, I'd apply the same to markdown comments. Since we don't have inline comments, it's mostly understood that the next comment is usually related to the previous one. Even if the author is not mentioned, so long as they have contributed to it (or maybe it could be limited to whoever touched the article last), they see the comment in a notification as well.

Nibu Thomas: Thanks for your prompt response. We have started the analysis on your feedback. As you mentioned, the contributors of the articles should receive a notification for all the discussion points. We will check the technical feasibility and incorporate this into our plan. We will keep you posted any updates on this.
If you have any suggestions or feedback, kindly let us know. Thanks for your valuable time!

It would be nice if you could see comment activity in the analytics too. Right now, I can't see from the analytics which team members are reading and commenting.
Thiru
Michal Sirton: Most of the analytics data retrieved and shared with users pertains to the Knowledgebase site and not within the portal. By team members are you referring to the Readers?
Michal Sirton
Thiru: Not the readers, no. I was thinking about the people who are reviewing the content for me. It would be nice to know who is actually looking at the docs. If someone says they'll review them but I can see they haven't even looked at them, I'd know to send them a reminder. And it would be nice to see who is using the discussion feature to give me feedback (even if they forget to tag me).

This would be very helpful. We are currently missing comments that are submitted without a mention. Having the ability to notify either some or all account holders would be helpful. It would be most helpful to be able to toggle this for each account holder so we can select who receives notifications and who doesn't.

Kimberly Koester: Thank you for your feedback. We would like to better understand the use case for receiving notifications for all discussion points without tagging.
We have taken your feedback into consideration and have started the analysis for this use case. If you have any insights that would help us better grasp the use case and provide a solution, please share them with us.
Please note that implementing a toggle to enable/disable this feature for each account holder is not currently part of our plan.
However, if you have any further suggestions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
