Ability to add links to headings in a different article (page)
complete
Caroline Tabach
I would like to be able to easily add a link to headings on article pages. Currently we can "insert link"
to another page/article, but not to a heading on the article, and I have to do this manually.

Is this functionality already complete? I can't see it. I have been trying to add links to headings in different articles but not getting the options. However, it's there for headings in the same article which I am editing currently. Any help would be appreciated.

Marshal Ebinezar: I don't seem to see this in my account. It looks like I can only add links to headings within the same article.

Marshal Ebinezar When is this planned for? This is important and a very basic feature that should be available.

Ambuj Lal: We are working on it and will provide an update once the implementation is complete.

Support selecting anchor tags in link screen

The new link screen supports searching for an article, however it doesn't allow you to select a specific anchor tag (or heading) in that article. You have to manually add the #anchor to the URL if you want the link to jump to the appropriate article. We use this extensively and would appreciate a tool in the new ink screen to select a heading/anchor to include in the url.
Thank you,

I've noticed that you can do it manually at the moment by adding #heading-name to the end of your URL where "heading-name" is the title of your heading within the article (you need to add hyphens between the words). But yes, an easier way, through UI, would much better (by selecting any heading or by means of bookmarks within articles).

Links to headers

I would like to see some way of sharing a position within an article.
I don’t seem to be able to create bookmarks but suppose I wanted to share a URL that pointed to a specific place within the article. Right now, I would need to right-click on an item in the mini-toc and share the URL, e.g.
It would be much better if you displayed an icon next to H2s or H3s in the article. When I click the icon, it automatically copies the URL to the clipboard.
This is a standard feature in most of your competitor platforms.

I think this is the same as this feature that I asked for.
They say it is planned.
Please do vote on it
