Ability for admin to unlock an article for editing

When a contributor edits an article they sometimes leave it open, and it's hard for those responsible for reviewing and publishing to start on their edits. It would be useful if the admin could have the option to unlock articles.

Thank you for sharing this feedback - this is a valid and well-observed pain point.
We’re currently analyzing the requirement around providing admins with the ability to unlock articles that are left open by contributors. We’ll evaluate this in detail and share our thoughts and next steps once the assessment is complete.
In parallel, we want to highlight that we’re actively working on a collaborative editor. This enhancement is designed to allow multiple users to access and work on the same article simultaneously, significantly reducing blockers caused by locked or idle editing sessions and improving overall review and publish workflows.
We’ll keep you posted as we make progress on both fronts.
